The Thermos flask could only be afforded by the rich when it was first manufactured in the 1900s. It subsequently got more affordable and by the 1920s, it was a practical household product for the masses.
As time passed, the needs, taste and preference of people changed. The Thermos flask progressively became more efficient and convenient for usage. The design became more elaborate too - some were classics and others more chic.
However, the basic principle of the Thermos flask hasn't changed since it was first manufactured - it is used to keep hot liquids hot and cold liquids cold.

Vacuum flask cooker, a.k.a. thermal cooker, is a stainless steel vacuum flask that is used for cooking. Asian cooks largely use this appliance because many Asian dishes require prolonged braising or simmering and the vacuum flask cooker reduces cooking time by up to 70%.
Inside the vacuum pot, there is a removable pot with a lid. The pot and its contents are heated
to cooking temperature, and then sealed in the flask. The flask reduces heat loss to a minimum, so that the food remains at cooking temperature for a long time, and cooks without continued heating. This reduces the amount of energy required to heat the pot and its contents by up to 70%.
This application of the vacuum flask has not only allowed mankind to explore new methods in cooking; it has made cooking more convenient, environmentally-friendly, and energy efficient.
